Master type matchups and dominate battles
Pokemon TCG Pocket uses a simplified system:
Scenario: Pikachu EX (Electric) attacks Greninja (Water)
That extra +20 damage can turn 2-hit KOs into 1-hit KOs. Always check your opponent's bench for weaknesses before attacking!
Include Pokemon of different types in your deck to handle unfavorable matchups. A pure Fire deck will struggle against Water decks.
Colorless Pokemon like Snorlax and Wigglytuff EX work well in any deck since they're not limited by energy type and have fewer bad matchups.
If you're seeing lots of Fire decks (Mega Blaziken), bring Water types. If Electric is dominant, Fighting types become valuable.
+20 damage is significant but not game-breaking. A well-built deck with synergy beats a poorly-built "counter" deck every time.
While single-type is often best, these combinations work well together:
Use Colorless tanks (Snorlax) while setting up Psychic sweepers (Mewtwo EX). Colorless doesn't compete for Psychic energy.
Both types share offensive synergy. Fire handles Grass/Metal, Fighting handles Dark/Steel.
Electric counters Water's weakness. Water handles Electric's Ground weakness. Natural synergy.
Grass handles Water threats, Psychic handles Fighting. Good defensive coverage.
Use these type advantages to build better decks and win more battles!
